Polished concrete is renowned for its superior durability and exceptional performance, particularly in areas with high foot traffic. It offers resilience and a sleek, contemporary aesthetic, making it a preferred flooring choice in residential and commercial settings, warehouses, and office environments. At Cleanstart Concrete & Coatings, we pride ourselves on our meticulous attention to detail and our commitment to quality. Our skilled technicians are equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and employ advanced techniques to ensure your polished concrete flooring is visually appealing and long-lasting. Polished concrete is a top-choice flooring solution with its long lifespan and minimal maintenance requirements.
Our Concrete Polishing – Before and After
Floors often start with visible flaws, stains, cracks, and a lackluster appearance that can drag down the entire space. Whether in a commercial warehouse, office environment, or residential setting, these imperfections affect not only aesthetics but also functionality. At Cleanstart Concrete & Coatings, we use advanced polishing techniques and cutting-edge equipment to transform dull, damaged surfaces into sleek, high-performance floors. The result is a brilliant, mirror-like finish that enhances brightness, withstands heavy use, and is easy to maintain for years to come.

Benefits of Our Polished Concrete Floors Include:

Stain-resistant Surfaces
Polishing the concrete seals the surface and makes it denser. This enables it to naturally repel water, oil, and other surface contamination, even without special protection.

Higher Slip Resistance
Polished concrete is among the safest of floors, no matter the shine level or aggregate exposure level. Due to their high coefficient of friction (COF), polished concrete floors are 20% to 50% more slip-resistant than the national standard for a low slip floor.
Increases Light Reflectivity
A polished concrete floor increases light reflectivity, projecting a professional image and saving on lighting costs. Polished concrete will add more light to the area without the cost of adding fixtures by reflecting light from windows and current lights.
Easy-to-Maintain
Polished concrete doesn’t hold onto dirt or dust like other flooring types and only requires occasional mopping. It also doesn’t require you to periodically strip the surface and apply wax or other coatings like many other flooring types.
Increases Slab Longevity
Polishing concrete extends the service life of the underlying slab. It has excellent compressive strength and fights erosion from various sources. A mechanical polishing process can grind the top layer to refresh it.
Stands Up to High Traffic
A polished concrete floor is one of the best investments for a high-traffic area. It stands up to large equipment like forklifts and resists skid marks and staining from smaller vehicles. Combined with a high traction sealant, polished concrete can perform reliably for years.
Our Process – Prep-Grind-Polish
Floor prep is a critical first step as the condition of the floor will impact the final results. We start by repairing minor floor imperfections that may involve rebuilding joints, dealing with craze cracking, removing adhesives, filling pits and voids, removing oil stains, color matching with dyes, and more. Progressive grinding, honing, densifying, and polishing refines the concrete surface into a highly durable, light-reflective, dustproof, safe, and functional floor finish.
We use machines with diamond-segmented abrasives to grind down concrete surfaces to the desired degree of shine and smoothness. Coarse-grit abrasives are gradually replaced with finer-grit abrasives, resulting in a beautiful, glossy, mirror-like finish. Whether you want warehouse polished concrete for its ability to hold up to heavy equipment, or a commercial polished concrete floor for its combination of affordability and aesthetics, the versatility of this flooring option is second to none.
